CrowWay legal
Privacy Policy
How CrowWay handles website privacy, app route data, location permission, support requests, subscriptions, third-party services, and privacy rights.
Effective date: May 14, 2026
Scope and controller
This policy explains how CrowWay handles information for the CrowWay website and mobile app. For privacy questions, contact [email protected].
CrowWay is a route planning app. It is not designed for children under 13, and it should not be used to submit sensitive personal information such as health, financial, government ID, or precise personal safety information unless a feature clearly asks for it.
Website data
The website stores language and cookie-consent preferences in browser local storage. Optional analytics and marketing storage stay disabled unless you choose to allow them.
The website can link to the App Store, Google Play, YouTube, email, and support tools. The website itself does not ask for device location permission and does not collect route-stop locations.
If you contact support, we process the name, email address, topic, message content, and technical anti-abuse verification needed to receive, protect, and respond to the request.
App route and location data
The mobile app may process locations you enter, dropped pins, route lists, route history, priorities, preferences, and route calculations so it can provide route planning features.
Precise device location is used only when you grant the operating-system permission or choose a feature that needs it, such as centering the map, adding your current location, or calculating a route from your position.
Some route data may stay on your device by default. If you use sharing, export, import, cloud sync, payments, diagnostics, app-store purchase validation, mapping, address search, or navigation integrations, relevant data may be processed by the selected service to provide that feature.
Payments, subscriptions, and stores
CrowWay Premium subscriptions or purchases are handled through Apple App Store or Google Play unless the app clearly states another billing provider. Store account, payment, refund, cancellation, tax, and family-sharing rules are controlled by the applicable store.
We may receive limited purchase status information, such as product identifier, entitlement status, transaction status, and renewal state, so the app can unlock paid features and provide support.
Cookies, analytics, and communications
Necessary preferences support language and consent choices. Optional analytics or marketing tools, if enabled, are used to understand site performance, measure campaigns, and improve communications.
YouTube walkthrough embeds use the privacy-enhanced youtube-nocookie.com domain where possible. YouTube, Apple, Google, Cloudflare, map providers, app stores, and email providers process data under their own privacy notices.
Retention and deletion
Website preferences remain in your browser until you change them or clear local storage. Support messages are kept only as long as reasonably needed for support, security, legal, tax, accounting, or operational records.
App route data stored on your device can usually be deleted by using in-app controls or uninstalling the app. Data processed by third-party services may need to be managed through those services.
Privacy rights
Depending on your region, including the EU, UK, California, and other jurisdictions, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of personal data. To make a request, contact [email protected].
Where consent is required, non-essential cookies, analytics, marketing storage, and precise location access require opt-in consent or operating-system permission before activation. You can withdraw consent through cookie settings, app settings, browser settings, or device permissions.
You may also have the right to appeal a decision or complain to a privacy regulator where local law provides that right.
